BAYTI is now in NYC, and one of our first discovery here was be our last Sunday visit.
Lost in the middle of high buildings, two steps from the One world trade center, TARA (Agnes B owner) was here just for fews days, as a small break in this crazy city , at the end of his 2 years journey.
The first mission of these 2 years was to explore Pacific ocean and examine in a new way the biodiversity of coral reefs and their evolution in response to climate change and human activities.
The day to day work of a mix of sailors and scientists (around 10 to 12 persons on board) was to focus on the capacities of resistance, adaptation and resilience of the reef ecosystems.
Many thanks to the captain and sailors for their time, explaining us this amazing machine which is the TARA boat (initially an ice artic ship)
Many thanks and congratulations for the fantastic enthusiasm of scientists on board, who had the unique chance to travel all around the Pacific distant islands : they were more able to communicate us their passion, all theirs discoveries, and the importance of Nature and protection of the environment.
With the starting UN week in New York, its a great message to hear and hear again, for everybody responsibility.
Dont miss the end of the TARA trip and their arrival in Lorient on Oct, 28, 2018!!
Be part of the adventure!
